Are you an experienced security and business leader of IT security teams? Do you have broad and proficient knowledge of security, privacy, GRC and related security control domains? Do you have solid experience understanding and influencing security-related decisions made by enterprises and regulated customers? Amazon Stores is looking for a highly-motivated and experienced Security Business Development Specialist to support Buy with Prime and Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF). You will work directly with Sales teams and customers to educate the upskill decision makers on security and compliance topics and field questions related to the business' security and compliance practices. You’ll contribute to the creation of security thought leadership content and scalable sales assets and programs that simplify and synthesize our key security messages and help to equip the broad base of Amazon Stores customer-facing teams.

We are seeking a security specialist who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to dive deep into top-of-mind customer security and privacy concerns and address them to the customer's satisfaction. We need a Security Business Development Specialist who can operate independently, anticipate potential customer security questions and priorities, and develop the appropriate solution.
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse background in information security management, business, technical sales and/or business development, IT management, IT infrastructure, and/or engineering background, as well as proficiency in security and industry trends, business and organizational skills, and technical know-how. This role requires a passion for customers and their missions, a strong ability to influence and guide, a track record of innovation, a desire to learn and be curious, and a high level of comfort navigating ambiguity while creating clarity as you move forward. You must be able to scale and influence key decision-makers both externally and internally, while also being able to dive deep, with a rich grasp of the details.

Key job responsibilities
- Set and deliver against goals that establish security and compliance as a business enabler
- Work with Sales teams on establishing routine mechanisms for collecting customer data/metrics and developing insights / trends
- Triage and address customer inquiries on security, privacy, and compliance in partnership with Legal, Sales, engineering, and enterprise security teams
- Develop and scale security messaging and sales assets to amplify with customers working with security and compliance teams and leveraging your security expertise
- Proactively anticipate and develop solutions (e.g., content, analyses, sales motions, etc.) and their associated roadmaps to provide incremental security assurance to customers
- Engage in customer meetings, sales rhythm of the business activities and attend / host events that involve security decision makers and generate customer feedback
- Proactively develop/improve feedback and information gathering mechanisms with internal and external customers
- Provide business reporting that includes program metrics, anecdotes, goals statusing, etc.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, strong written and verbal communications and business reporting for exec-level engagement, ability to understand and convey security and compliance nuances to a non-expert audience

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant business, security, marketing, and/or engineering disciplines.
- 7+ years of relevant business or technical experience, information security management, GRC, product management or business development, software engineering, program or project management, and/or operations experience in and around information technologies, with a special emphasis on knowledge and experience related to information security and compliance.
- 7+ years experience with and knowledge of IT security, IT management, compliance frameworks, identity and access management, information security audit, and the like.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting/advising the Chief Information Security Officer (or equivalent) of a commercial enterprise or a public sector entity (government agency, educational institution, etc.).
- 10+ years experience with proficient and broad knowledge of IT security, compliance frameworks, identity and access management, supply chain risk management, modern application architectures, and the like
- Industry certification in information security and other relevant disciplines, such as CISSP, CISA, etc.
- Proven ability to influence and guide both customers and internal stakeholders around business and technical strategies in the security area, and to translate from business requirements to technical solutions (and vice versa)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
